Jakob Zufelt Project Manager

Jakob Zufelt

VP of Project Management

Jake comes to us from the desert oasis of Moab, Utah – THE best playground in the country. Born and raised a small-town boy, Jake grew up in the construction world and learned the necessity of being able to wear many hats. Jake’s father, a miner turned flooring store operator taught him the value of not just hard, but quality work. From a young age, Jake worked alongside his father in the flooring industry and was running his own crews by the time he graduated high school.  Jake would later go on to expand his skill set in the building, HVAC, mining, and towing industries.  However, it was accepting a position as the Chief Engineer for the Marriott Hotels in Moab that Jake stumbled upon his passion for hotel construction and maintenance. Moving up the chain quickly, Jake grew from a one man show to managing multiple properties and a team of 15 before becoming a traveling supervisor, opening new hotels and training new and existing maintenance teams in California, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. When the hotel industry was hit by the onset of COVID-19, Jake went out on his own and started a handyman business helping hotel chains and homeowners with maintenance and remodels.

Besides building and fixing things, Jake loves anything with a motor and enjoys showing off his classic cars. Jake loves to travel, he attends the theatre to appease his wife, and can often be talked into going to the mall with his two daughters, but his happy place is hanging out with his family, or in his Jeep crawling over the red rock hills of his hometown.
